Religious places in Pune district to open from October 7

Pune district collector on October 5 announced that the religious places shall now be open for all from October 7. The religious places shall follow all Covid19 health protocols suggested by the state health department. Also, use of face masks, sanitisers, social distancing, thermal guns, sanitisation of the premises is of utmost inmportance.

As per the revised order issued by the government, citizens above the age of 65 years, comorbidity, pregnant mothers, children below the age of 10 years shall not be allowed to visit the temple. A distance of six feet must be maintained between two people at the temple.

Also, people without masks shall not be allowed to enter the premises. Washing hands for about 40 – 60 seconds is advised or use alcohol based sanitiser to wash hands. Covering face and nose while sneezing is a must or use of tissue paper is advised.

Devotees visiting the religious places shall keep their footwear in their vehicles. It is mandatory to the temples to provide facility to dispose off the used masks, covers and gloves. Also, the staff at the temple should carry their RTPCR negative test report.
