In a world where many seek recognition for their work, there are a few who dedicate themselves silently to society. Sachin Subhash Ghule, Vice-President of Haveli Taluka Panchayat Samiti and former Deputy Sarpanch of Undri, is one such rare leader. His journey is a testament to selfless service, grassroots connect, and a vision for inclusive development.

Sachin Subhash Ghule’s entry into social and political life began nearly 25 years ago, inspired by a strong sense of community nurtured within his family. In 1997, he took his first step into politics as the President of Undri Youth Congress. When the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) was founded in 1999, he embraced it wholeheartedly and has remained a dedicated and loyal party worker ever since. That same year, he was chosen as the President of the NCP Youth Wing in Undri village, and by 2002, he rose to become the village’s Deputy Sarpanch, a post he held for three terms.

In 2007, when he contested the Panchayat Samiti election, he lost by a narrow margin of just nine votes. Yet, instead of being disheartened, he continued to serve society tirelessly. His perseverance paid off in 2017, when the party once again placed its trust in him with a Panchayat Samiti candidacy. He won the elections. Later, in 2021, he was re-elected as Vice-President of NCP Pune city unit under the leadership of City President Chetan Tupe.

His career advanced steadily as he was entrusted with the role of Vice-President of Haveli Taluka Panchayat Samiti, while continuing to focus on grassroots development. For him, social service is no less than worship—a principle that has guided his public life. Whether it was improving roads, ensuring water supply, or strengthening waste management systems, Sachin Subhash Ghule’s leadership has been marked by practical solutions and community-driven projects.

Guided and inspired by Ajit Pawar, Sachin Subhash Ghule has adopted a simple formula in public life: “80% work, 20% politics.” His qualities of integrity, fairness, strong public connect, and organizational skills have made his journey from an ordinary worker to an influential city rival remarkable. Even as Vice-President, he has remained deeply rooted to the ground, ensuring that his determination remains progressive and development-oriented.

Interestingly, Undri, despite falling under a Gram Panchayat, has witnessed several pathbreaking projects, whereas Mohammadwadi, which has been within Pune Municipal Corporation limits for the past 25 years, has seen comparatively fewer initiatives. In the coming weeks, detailed information will be shared regarding the development in the area during his preferred Gram Panchayat tenure.

Today, as Undri and surrounding villages are merged into the Pune Municipal Corporation, residents and party workers alike are voicing their wish that leaders like Sachin Subhash Ghule, an educated, people-sensitive, and committed man—are essential for holistic urban development.
