From January 6 (Saturday), the Sadhu Vaswani Railway Bridge will be closed for vehicular traffic.

As per further information from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the Sadhu Vaswani Railway Bridge was built by the Public Works Department (PWD) of the Maharashtra Government about 50 years ago. Hence, as the said bridge is becoming weak, the said bridge has been closed for heavy traffic by placing height barriers on both sides of the bridge through the Pune Municipal Corporation.

As the Sadhu Vaswani railway flyover at Koregaon Park has weakened, it will be demolished and newly constructed through the PMC. For that, the said bridge will be closed to traffic. Hence, on an experimental basis, from January 6 for the next 10 to 15 days, alternative traffic arrangements will be made.

Traffic changes will be made in Nagar Road – Koregaon Park – Bund Garden – Council Hall & further. Some roads will be open for One Way traffic and some roads will have No Entry.

Detailed notification regarding the above will be published through the Pune Traffic Police and the changes will be made from January 6 for the next 10 to 15 days on a trial basis. After that, the final order will be issued by the Pune Traffic Police after studying the traffic diversion.

Hence, all citizens are requested to take note of the above changes.
