The safety of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has become a growing concern after the Mumbai Traffic Police received a threatening message demanding Rs 5 crore from the actor. The message, allegedly sent by a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, warned that Khan’s condition would be worse than that of recently murdered politician Baba Siddique if he did not comply with the demand.

The threatening message, which was delivered via WhatsApp, stated: “Do not take this lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay Rs 5 crore. If not, he will meet a fate worse than Baba Siddique.” This message has raised alarm among law enforcement officials, who are now actively investigating its origin

Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader, was shot and killed during Dussehra celebrations outside his Bandra office in Mumbai. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for his murder, with reports suggesting that Siddique was targeted due to his close ties with Salman Khan and alleged connections to underworld figures like Dawood Ibrahim.

This is not the first time Salman Khan has been targeted by the Bishnoi gang. Over the past few years, the actor has faced multiple threats. In April 2023, two men on motorcycles fired shots outside his Mumbai residence. In June 2022, Khan received a handwritten note warning that he would meet the same fate as Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, who was murdered in May 2022, allegedly by the Bishnoi gang.

The Mumbai Police are intensifying efforts to track down the individual responsible for the latest threat, as concerns for Khan’s safety continue to mount.
