In a late-night reshuffle by the Maharashtra state home department, several senior IPS officers were transferred on Thursday, including Pune Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Pankaj Deshmukh. He has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Mumbai.
Taking over as the new Pune Rural SP is IPS officer Sandeep Singh Gill, he previously served as DCP (Zone I) with Pune city police. The reshuffle also brought in other changes, including the transfer of senior IPS officer Tejaswi Satpute, who was appointed as DCP in Pune.
