A total of 191 idol collection centers have been constructed under 15 regional offices for Ganesh Visarjan this year. Also, the number of immersion positions made by Pune Municipal Corporation has been increased for citizens who cannot immersion idols at their homes.
A total of 9,66,333 kg of construction was collected in 10 days by Pune Municipal Corporation Swachh Sahakari Sanstha during the last Ganeshotsav. A total of 31110 kg of Nirmalya has been collected in 9 days this year. During the Ganeshotsav of 2019, a total of 1,51,945 idols were immersed in 9 days including Visarjan Ghat, Hand, Takya, Canol, River Pats, Lakes, Wells. Also, a total of 4029 idols were born in the form of donation. In 2020, in 10 days, 20,540 idols were immersed and 24,013 idols were collected at the collection centers, the mayor also said.
