SC orders state govt to declare municipal elections dates within two weeks
All eyes on Maha Vikas Aghadi’s decision.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday has directed the Maharashtra state government to declare the schedule for local body elections within two weeks.

The state government had earlier stated that the elections would be held only after the OBC reservation is in place.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi government as well as the opposition are not in favour of holding elections without the OBC reservation approval, but they have little choice.
It is now up to the state government to announce their decision.
