Shocking Tragedy in Pune : Amravati ACP Kills Wife, Nephew and Self

In a devastating incident that sent shockwaves through Pune’s Baner-Balewadi area, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bharat Gaikwad from Amravati allegedly killed his wife and nephew with a pistol before taking his own life. The tragic event claimed the lives of Gaikwad’s wife, Moni Bharat Gaikwad (44), and his nephew, Deepak Gaikwad (35).

Assistant Commissioner Gaikwad, who served in the Rajpeth Division in Amravati, had traveled to Pune for a holiday on Saturday. He resided in the Balewadi area of Pune with his wife, two children, and nephew.

On Sunday midnight, a horrifying turn of events unfolded as Gaikwad reportedly used a pistol to shoot his wife Moni and nephew Deepak. Following this shocking act, he turned the weapon on himself, ending his life. Upon receiving the distressing news of Gaikwad’s suicide, the police promptly arrived at the scene. They recovered the pistol used in the incident, which Gaikwad had for private use and possessed a valid weapon license.
