Pune : Ajeet Maurya (41) and his wife were enjoying a Diwali dinner at a hotel, discussing their upcoming trip to a seaside destination for the New Year festivities. However, their joyful evening took an unexpected turn when Ajeet was apprehended by the Sarojini Nagar police on Wednesday.
As per the information provided, investigators were shocked when they discovered that Ajeet, a sixth-grade dropout, resorted to criminal activities to support his two wives, nine children, and six girlfriends.
As per the information received, he is an individual who creates videos on social media platforms and has a fraudulent background with a record of nine criminal cases. These cases involve engaging in deceptive schemes resembling Ponzi schemes, distributing counterfeit Indian currency notes, deceiving individuals through insurance scams, and various other fraudulent activities.
Later, upon filing an FIR from Dharmendra Kumar, claiming that he had been swindled out of Rs 3 lakh by a group of individuals who promised to double his money, the police began investigating the conman.
As per reports, the sequence of events began when Ajeet faced failure in creating false ceilings using plaster of Paris in Mumbai. Additionally, in 2000, he got married to Sangeeta (40) in Mumbai and they had seven children together. However, by 2010, he lost his job and returned to his village in Gonda, where he struggled to find a well-paying job.
Subsequently, he resorted to criminal activities and had his first case registered in Gonda for theft and trespassing in 2016. Since then, Ajeet has continued down this path. Two years later, he came into contact with Sushila (30) and began engaging in new fraudulent activities.
As per reports, he initiated the circulation of counterfeit currency notes and established fraudulent schemes. In 2019, Ajeet married Sushila. They commenced a luxurious lifestyle and Sushila gave birth to two children, as per the police.
During the investigation, the police also discovered that Ajeet had constructed two houses, one for Sangeeta and another for Sushila and her children, while he resided in a rented accommodation.
Ajeet’s call detail records were examined by the police, revealing that he had six girlfriends and frequently embarked on extended trips with them. Ajeet’s meticulously crafted online persona proved instrumental in captivating and enticing women to become part of his social circle.
