Pune: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced a one-week holiday from Friday, November 10 to Friday, November 17 on the occasion of Diwali. The administrative work of the university will be closed during this period.

As per information, on the occasion of the Diwali festival, holiday has been announced for government and semi-government offices.

Accordingly, Friday (November 10 ) is a government holiday on the occasion of Dhanatryodashi, Saturday (November 11) is an alternative holiday during the time of the G-20 conference held at the university, Sunday (November 12) is a regular holiday, Monday (November 13) is an alternative holiday during the time of the G-20 conference held at the University, Tuesday (November 14) is a government holiday on the occasion of Balipratipada, Wednesday (November 15) is a government holiday on the occasion of Bhaubeej, Thursday (November 16) will be an alternate holiday during the graduation ceremony of the university and Friday (November 17) will be an alternate holiday during the university convocation.

Also, since it is the third Saturday (November 18), the employees have 10 days off including the regular university holiday and Sunday (November 19) holiday.

After the Diwali holiday, the university offices will continue to function regularly from Monday ( November 20).
