SPPU signs MoU with Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Govt of Maharashtra
Savitribai Phule Pune University and Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Government of Maharashtra entered into a MoU for undertaking trainings / workshops for police officers and citizens and also to create awareness about the criminal and crime scene sketches.
Signing of MoU took place in presence of Hon. VC Prof. Nitin Karmalkar, Registrar Dr. Prafula Pawar, Criminal Investigation Department, Maharashtra, Addl. Director General Atulchandra Kulkarni, Superintendent of Police Sambhaji Kadam, Special Inspector General of Police Pravin Salunkhe, Special Inspector General of Police Fattesinh Patil, Dy. Inspector General of Police Ranjankumar Sharma, Dy. Superintendent of Police Anuja Deshpande, Police inspector Amol Gawali, Dr Girish Charwad, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Physics Dept’s Head Dr. Suresh Gosavi , SPPU’s Technology Dept.’s Head Dr. Aditya Abhyankar, Head,IDSS Interdisciplinary School of Science Dr. Avinash Kumbhar.
Personnel completing these trainings / workshops successfully, will be given a certificate from Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Government of Maharashtra and Savitribai Phule Pune University jointly. Dr Girish Charwad, who holds a PhD in ‘Contribution of Sketching in Crime Investigation’ will provide training in this particular course.
