Wakad Police Station organises blood donation camp

The blood banks in the city are running out of reserve. And hence to support these banks as well as patients in need of blood, Wakad Police station for the third time had organised a blood donation camp recently. Not just Covid19 patients but many Thalassemia patients are suffering due to non availability of blood.  Wakad Police station in association with Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate and P.D. Foundation Thergaon had organised a blood donation camp.

The camp was held under supervision of SPI Vivek Mugalikar of Wakad Police Station. A total of 65 bags of blood were collected from the camp. While talking with Pune Pulse, Mugalikar said, “We have been facing an issue ever since COVID19 has arrived.  The blood banks are running out of their reserve and hence there is a bigger need to donate blood. So, we organised the camp. This is for the third time that Wakad Police Station has organised a blood donation camp.”
