The victim’s wife, requesting anonymity, said “On the night time of 29th September, my husband went to buy something. He needed to turn to the left side, so he turned the left indicator of the vehicle on. A boy, who was in a drunken state, was driving behind him & threatened my husband to turn off the indicator. My husband wasn’t able to understand why this boy was following him. However, the boy stopped him &, after a brief altercation, my husband drove away. The boy started to call some more nearby people for no reason. My husband ignored it and went to a shop to buy some household things. However, it was closed. So, he came to the vehicle to come back home. At that time, the boy appeared again along with some other people. A person hit my husband on the head after which he got unconscious and fell down. After that, the people dragged my husband to a quieter place & started beating him brutally. After gaining consciousness, my husband was trying to save himself. After some time, a lady saw this happening and started yelling, following which the people beating my husband ran away. He was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital as he had suffered some fractures. The doctors are treating him.”

As per further information from Lekhaji Shinde, a case has been registered against the 2 accused at Kondhwa Police Station under Section 325 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation into the matter is underway.
