In light of the ongoing issues surrounding ticket distribution for the Assembly elections and increasing dissatisfaction, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs, office bearers, and RSS officials from Pune convened for a meeting. The RSS focused on discussing its strategy and the process for selecting candidates. This gathering was part of the monthly coordination meeting, as stated by BJP officials.
The attendees included: RSS leaders Sachin Bhosale and Mahesh Karpe, Maharashtra Minister Chandrakant Patil, MLAs Madhuri Misal, Bhimrao Tapkir, Sunil Kambale, and Siddharth Shirole.

The meeting was held on Thursday evening at the RSS office in Moti Baug.
The BJP has announced its first list of candidates for the Assembly elections, featuring nominees for the Kothrud, Parvati, and Shivaji Nagar constituencies, allowing current MLAs another opportunity. However, the candidates for Kasba, Pune Cantonment, and Khadakwasla have yet to be revealed, causing anxiety among local workers and hopeful candidates.
The BJP is concentrating on boosting voter turnout throughout the city by utilizing the organizational network of the RSS, without focusing on specific candidates. They are aiming to accomplish this through the Prabodhan Manch. In a recent meeting, the RSS provided details on how the Prabodhan Manch functions in each neighborhood, discussing the progress made and the main issues at hand.
