Tragic Pune Accident: Truck Hits Two College Students Near Chandan Nagar, Two Dead, One Injured

Just as the Kalyani Nagar Porsche is still afresh, another incident shocked the residents of Chandan Nagar, when a speeding truck hit two college students and led to their death. One person was injured in the accident. The incident took place near Chandan Nagar Jakat Naka, a motorcycle that was stopped at a signal was hit by a truck from behind.

The incident took place around 10.30 pm on May 27. The cargo truck was coming from Wagholi towards Pune when the accident took place. The driver, identified as Shyambabu Rampal Gautam, has been detained and taken to Sassoon Hospital for medical examination. The two college-going youths were originally from Latur and were currently studying in Wagholi.
Gautam was going towards Chandan Nagar in his truck when he rammed into a motorcycle that was stopped at the Zakat Naka signal from behind. Due to this, 2 people died and 1 was injured.
Another fatal accident took place yesterday morning at B T Kawade road near Fatima Nagar when an MSRTC bus hit one senior citizen and her grand child while they were crossing the road near 93 Avenue Mall. The senior citizen died while the grandchild suffered injuries. The driver of MSRTC was taken into custody by the Wanowrie police station. The incident took place at 11 am on May 27.
