A devastating accident occurred on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Gahunje village in Maval, leaving a truck driver and several animals seriously injured. The incident involved a collision between two trucks, one carrying sugar to Mumbai and the other illegally transporting animals to a slaughterhouse in Deonar.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck carrying animals was traveling in a reckless manner when it collided with the sugar-laden truck. The impact of the collision was severe, causing significant damage to both vehicles. The driver of one of the trucks suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Unfortunately, several buffaloes being transported in the other truck also sustained serious injuries. The animals were being transported illegally, and the incident has raised concerns about animal welfare and road safety.
