Uday Samant assured complete support to Afghani students living in Pune

Minister for state, higher and technical education Uday Samant was in Pune recently wherein he interacted with Afghan students living in Pune. He assured them of all suuport while interacting with them. Samant said that he shall speak with the environment minister for state Aditya Thackeray and strategise to resolve the issues raised by these students. A meeting was organised by Pune based Sarhad organisation at All India Shri Shivaji Preparatory Memorial Society’s Institute of Information technology.

The meeting was attended by Higher education director Dhananjay Mane, AISSMS Malojiraje, Sarhad Institute’s SAnjay Nahar, Kiran Sali, Afghani students and Mohammad Afghani, representing the students.
Afghani while interacting with the minister putforth several issues regarding VISA, accomodation, food, medical, college fees, etc. He also said that Afghani students should be offered scholarships for further higher education.

Samant assured that issues regarding VISA, scholarship shall be escalated to the concerned department and resolved.
