How to change Aadhaar card photo

Step 1: Start by visiting the official UIDAI website at https://uidai.gov.in/en/

Step 2: Once on the homepage, download the Aadhaar enrolment form and print it out.

Step 3: Complete the form by filling in all the required details.

Step 4: Head to your nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Sewa Kendra and submit the filled application form to the designated officials.

Step 5: Provide your biometric information.

Step 6: The officials will take your live photograph.

You will be given an acknowledgement slip containing an Update Request Number (URN)

• No supporting documents are required to update the photo on your Aadhaar card.

• The executive will capture your photo on-site, so you don’t need to bring one.

• The Aadhaar information may take up to ninety days to be updated.

• You can monitor the progress of your Aadhaar update online using the URN provided on the acknowledgement slip.

• The Self-Service Update Portal (SSUP) does not support the online process for changing the photo on an Aadhaar card

• Visit the official UIDAI website: UIDAI

• Go to the “My Aadhaar” tab and choose “Download Aadhaar.”

• Provide your Aadhaar Number and the captcha code.

• Click on the “Send OTP” button.

• An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

• Enter the OTP and log in.

• Click the “Download Aadhaar” button to download your updated Aadhaar Card
