Water supply alert for Pimpri Chinchwad residents
Pune: Builders Accused Of Violating Water Supply Affidavits In Pimpri-Chinchwad; Residents Seek Compensation
The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has issued a notice to residents of Moshi, Charholi, Chovisawadi, Vadmukhwadi, Chikhli, Dudulgaon, Bhosari, Dighi, and Indrayaninagar regarding potential disruptions in water supply. From June 13 to 15, these areas may experience irregular water supply, disturbances, and low pressure.
This temporary issue arises due to disaster management work on the dams along the Indrayani River, being conducted by the Khadakwasla Canal Sub-Division No. 2, under the Pune Irrigation Department. Consequently, water discharge from the Andhra Dam into the Indrayani River has been reduced.
Chief Engineer of the Water Supply Department, Shrikant Savane, has appealed to residents to use water sparingly during this period. The cooperation of citizens in conserving water is crucial to manage the limited supply effectively.
