The shocking accident has left two people dead and several others critically injured, plunging the community into grief and disbelief.
The incident occurred around 9:15 AM on Friday as devotees were climbing the steps of the temple for darshan (worship). According to eyewitnesses, chaos erupted when a speeding four-wheeler, veering out of control on the service road, suddenly plowed into the gathering near the temple entrance. The force of the impact knocked down multiple individuals, leaving behind a harrowing scene of bloodshed and panic on the sacred grounds.
Authorities confirmed that five to six people were hit by the vehicle. Tragically, two individuals succumbed to their injuries on the spot. The remaining four victims sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to nearby private hospitals for urgent medical attention. As of the latest reports, their condition remains critical.
“The situation was horrifying. There was blood everywhere, and people were screaming for help,” said a bystander who witnessed the event unfold. The sudden violence in a place known for devotion and peace has left many locals shaken.
Soon after the accident, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, prompting an immediate response from the police. Law enforcement officers arrived promptly and cordoned off the area.
