Residents of Kothrud and Bavdhan in Pune have been facing issues of low water pressure and insufficient supply in recent days, leading to numerous complaints.

There were complaints of inadequate water supply in Bhusari Colony, 33 societies from Bavdhan area. In addition, a water channel was damaged due to the National Highway work in Chandni Chowk, which was not repaired by the Municipal Corporation and the entire area was dependent on a single water channel

To address this concern, Commissioner Vikram Kumar conducted a meeting in Kothrud’s Chandni Chowk, instructing water supply officials to devise strategies for improving the situation and allocating an additional two MLD (Million Liters per Day) of water.

In response, the commissioner directed officials to promptly repair the damaged water channel, restore water supply, and increase daily water allocation by two MLD to meet the growing demand in the area. This decision translates to an additional 20 lakh liters of water daily for the affected region.

In addition to addressing water supply issues, Commissioner Vikram Kumar inspected the stalled service road work at Warje, assuring prompt Transferable Development Rights (TDR) compensation for affected property owners who provide their premises. The commissioner also assessed the delayed theater project at Navale bridge, Sinhagad road, during the inspection
