World Cup 2023: Team India arrives in Pune ahead of next group stage match against Bangladesh

Pune : The Indian men’s cricket team, following their convincing triumph over arch-rivals Pakistan, has arrived in Pune for their upcoming group match in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 against Bangladesh.

With three consecutive wins in the World Cup, India is currently leading the points table, while Bangladesh sits in the sixth position with one victory. Led by captain Rohit Sharma, the team is geared up to face Bangladesh at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune this Thursday, greeted by enthusiastic fans chanting ‘India, India’ as they stepped out of the airport terminal.

The team’s recent victory against Pakistan, marked by their dominant performance, saw them successfully chasing down a target of 191 runs in just 30.3 overs at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Bangladesh currently hold the sixth position in the points table, courtesy of their victory over Afghanistan in their tournament opener. Their next challenge is a fixture against table-toppers India on Thursday in Pune.
