Pune: A young wrestler tragically lost his life on Wednesday after experiencing a heart attack during a workout at the gym. Vikram Parkhi, a 30-year-old from Maval in Pune, began feeling unwell while doing intense exercises. He was quickly taken to a health center in Pimpri-Chinchwad, but sadly, he passed away before any treatment could be administered.

Parkhi was a well-known wrestler who brought pride to his community by winning the Kumar Maharashtra Kesari championship. Throughout his career, he earned medals in numerous national and international events and achieved success in several prestigious tournaments.

The Maan community mourned the early loss of the gifted athlete, with many notable wrestlers sharing their sorrow over his death. He is survived by his father, former serviceman Shivajirao Parkhi, and his brother, rising leader Babasaheb Parkhi.
