100th birth anniversary of Dr. Verghese Kurien celebrated
On the centenary year celebrations in memory of the ‘Milkman of India’ Dr. Verghese Kurien, the Pedal Mission, Katraj Dairy, VAMNICOM and GCMMF (AMUL), had organised a “Cyclothon” (Cycle rally) today in Pune
The 15 Kms “Cyclothon” covered VAMNICOM to Katraj dairy stretch on 14 November 2021. Director, VAMNICOM, Dr. Hema Yadav flagged off the cycle rally organised by GCMMF (AMUL) at VAMNICOM.

Over 250 cyclists registered for the event from the age 9-76 years. GCMMF (AMUL), Deployed teams at eleven different locations throughout a 15 km stretch to direct riders from VAMNICOM to Katraj plant.
Besides, bicycle rally was greeted by GCMMF (AMUL) teams at brief stopovers at Sancheti hospital, Modern Café, Deccan Corner, Alka Talkies, Dandekar Bridge,Mitra Mandal Chowk and Laxminarayan Cinema.The cycle rally was addressed at Katraj dairy by Advocate Vishnu Hinge, Chairman Katraj Dairy, Gopalrao Mahaske, Director Katraj Dairy, Abhay Chhajed, President, Maharashtra Athletic Association, Narendra Rajgurav, administration department, Katraj Dairy, Kumar Marne, Marketing Division in charge Katraj Dairy. The cycle rally was followed by the trophy distribution for riders. Also, facilitates with gift hampers to 12 enthusiastic amongst youngest and elders riders.
