Solapur-Mumbai Flights To Resume From August 2 

Solapur, July 22, 2026: Air connectivity between Solapur and Mumbai will be restored from August 2, ending a 35-day suspension that had disrupted travel for passengers and businesses. Star Air announced the resumption of its services following intervention by the Maharashtra government and continuous follow-up by Solapur Guardian Minister Jaykumar Gore.

The airline had suspended operations on June 28, citing technical reasons, leaving Solapur without direct air connectivity to Mumbai.

The decision to restart the service comes after Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed officials to ensure the flights resumed at the earliest, bringing relief to regular travellers who had been relying on road and rail transport.

Flights Four Days a Week

Initially, the Solapur-Mumbai service will operate four days a week—Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The service is expected to benefit business travellers, industrialists, students, patients and other frequent commuters.

Star Air has already opened online bookings for the route through its official website. However, the airline is yet to announce the resumption of its Solapur-Goa service.

Flight Schedule

According to the announced timetable, flights will operate as follows:

• Monday and Wednesday: Arrival at 5:10 pm, departure at 5:40 pm
• Friday and Sunday: Arrival at 2:30 pm, departure at 3:00 pm

The schedule will remain effective until October 15, 2026.

Government Welcomes Decision

Guardian Minister Jaykumar Gore said reliable air connectivity is essential for Solapur’s economic development and investment potential. He said the state government worked closely with the airline and concerned authorities to restore the service at the earliest following the Chief Minister’s directions.

Passengers Relieved

Frequent flyers have welcomed the announcement, saying the restored service will significantly reduce travel time and provide a convenient transport option for professionals, patients and regular commuters travelling between Solapur and Mumbai. The restart of operations is also expected to boost business activity and improve connectivity for the region.
