15% discount on MSRTC tickets for Advance Bookings from July 1
MSRTC Declares: Stranded Passengers Can Board Any Bus Without Extra Charges
Mumbai (June 30, 2025): Passengers booking tickets in advance for long and medium-distance MSRTC bus routes (over 150 km) will now receive a 15% discount on full fare tickets. This benefit will apply only to passengers who pay full fare and not to those availing concession tickets. The scheme will be valid throughout the year, except during peak seasons like Diwali and summer holidays, and will begin from July 1.
This initiative, announced by Transport Minister and MSRTC Chairman Pratap Sarnaik on June 1 during MSRTC’s 77th anniversary, is being implemented across all types of buses.
Benefit During Ashadhi Ekadashi and Ganesh Festival:
Passengers booking regular MSRTC buses to Pandharpur for Ashadhi Ekadashi, or to Konkan for the Ganesh festival, can also avail this discount starting July 1. However, the discount does not apply to special additional buses.
Special Benefit for e-Shivneri Buses:
Frequent travelers on the Mumbai-Pune e-Shivneri route can also avail this 15% discount through advance booking—either at ticket counters, on [public.msrtcors.com](http://public.msrtcors.com), or via the official MSRTC Bus Reservation mobile app.
