Pune Mumbai Expressway to remain shut for heavy vehicles towards Mumbai

On 2nd November (Thursday), there will be a 2-hour traffic block on Mumbai-Pune Expressway i.e. from 12 pm to 2 pm due to gantry construction work.

As per further information from a press release by MSRDC & Highway State Police, on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, construction of gantry on Pune lane at Somatane Exit is to be done by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation on 2nd November 2023. Hence, the traffic going to Pune in this stretch will be completely closed from 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm.

During the said period, the traffic from Mumbai to Pune (Pune lane) at Kusgaon exit is being diverted to Pune via National Highway (NH) 48.

Also, light vehicles from Urse toll plaza take Talegaon Chakan lane to use pass through Vadgaon Phata Chowk on National Highway (NH) 48 is being diverted to Pune. After the completion of the said work, the traffic towards Pune on the expressway will be resumed at 2.00 pm.

The said traffic closure shall remain in force till the completion of installation of two serviceable gantries during the said period.
