3221 Remdesivir vials distributed in 315 hospitals in Pune district

Keeping in mind the shortage of Remdesivir injections in Pune and its black marketing, Pune district administration had set up a 24 hours control room to keep a tab on distribution of these injections as well as curb its black marketing too.

This control room was set up on April 11,2021 where as 6 flying squad for urban areas, 12 flying squad in rural areas under Tehsildar have been set up which looks into the distribution of this injection from distributor, stockist, hospitals.

On April 20,2021 the Pune district received 3221 Remdesivir vials which was distributed to 315 hospitals.

Out of 4773 functional beds in Pune district’s 315 hospitals, 3221 injections were supplied to the hospitals by the stockists. From April 16, 2021 Remdesivir injections is being provided equally to all the hospitals in order to ensure that there is smooth distribution of these vials to all the hospitals.
