Since the inception of an integrated Helpdesk & Lok Adalat by Pune Traffic Police, more than 8000 commuters of Pune, who had pending traffic challans, took full advantage by submitting relevant documents and paying fines.

As per information from the X handle of Pune Police, on 9th September, Pune motorists paid their unpaid penalties levied for traffic violations at a 50% waiver at Traffic Police Headquarters in Yerawada. In view of that, a ‘Helpdesk’ was set up which received an overwhelming response.

As per further information, 8428 Pune motorists have submitted their relevant documents in just the last 11 days i.e. since the beginning of Helpdesk from 28th August 2023 to 9th September 2023.

The Helpdesk was started at Pune Traffic Police Headquarters in Yerawada on 28th August 2023.

Under it, for public interest and to dispose of pending cases, the issuance of pending traffic violations on citizens’ vehicles will be exempted after compromise. The commuters, whose vehicles have pending cases regarding violation of traffic rules, if they remain present at Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic Branch Office, Yerawada Pune, the fine amount of the pending fines will be reduced after settlement.
