81 percent of PCMC residents had Covid19; says Sero Survey conducted

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation conducted Sero Surveillance (anti bodies testing) between 16-26 June 2021 of over 10,000 citizens in the city.  PCMC has become the first municipal body to conduct sero survey of 10,000 citizens. 

Below are the findings from the anti body testing which was conducted last month.

1. Over 200 clusters were created where 81.40 percent people had COVID19 antibodies. 
2. In slum areas, Anti bodies percent was 82.5 % while in Gaothan areas it was recorded 80 % 
3. Antibodies in women was reported 81.5 percent and 81.3 % in men. The percentage of antibodies in men and women was almost the same. [ad id=’8484′]
4. Below are the antibody percentage age wise : 6-18 years – 70.6 % 19-44 years – 78.9 % 45-60 years – 91.1%60 years and above – 90.5%. 

Even though this data shares the percentage of anti bodies present among people, there is no definite study or data available whether what effect will delta variant of Covid19 will show on these antibodies. This further informs that the citizens will have take necessary precautions and follow Covid19 health protocols.
