The Central Cabinet has approved the ₹7,827 crore, 30 km long, 8-lane elevated Nashik Phata-Khed Corridor. This corridor will connect major economic hubs such as Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and Chakan, enhancing logistics efficiency in the region.

The project will eliminate a major bottleneck in the development of Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the Chakan area. It will boost logistics capacity for the automotive sector and other industries, reduce transportation costs, and help alleviate traffic congestion and pollution.

The corridor will provide connectivity to 10 economic nodes, including a mega food park, textile clusters, SEZs, pharma and medical clusters, and electronic production centers, featuring nine junctions and two major bridges for smooth transportation.
