Pune: International Sanskrit Day Celebrations At Gurukul Sanskrit Academy In Khadki
Gurukul Sanskrit Academy celebrated ” International Sanskrit day ” on August 19 th Monday 2024 at Pimpri Pune. Gurukul Sanskrit Academy is the sister concern of Geeta Ashram Khadki, Pune . Geeta Ashram Khadki was founded by a few close devotees of Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasa. The event was celebrated under the divine guidance of ” Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasa”.The event also had the supervision of senior Sanskrit teacher Ajit Menon.

Ajit Menon spoke about the importance of Sanskrit and was very happy to see how Gurukul Sanskrit Academy has grown from one teacher and few students to multiple teachers and several batches of students including online batches . The students of the academy presented skits, songs and individual acts. This time the students who performed the various presentations varied from all age groups including children, teenagers, adults and senior citizens . All genres , serious messages , Bhakti shlokas, Subhashitams ( a literary genre of Sanskrit epigrammatic poems and their messages which may include a maxim, advice, fact, truth lesson or riddle) were presented . The wide and diverse audience comprising of people of all age groups and different states of India enjoyed the various acts and presentations. It again reiterates the uniqueness of the ancient Sanskrit Language which is the mother of all languages . Sanskrit language is a true unifying force among the various languages of India and its growing popularity across the world attests to this fact. The world is slowly recognizing its truly universal nature.

Gurukul Sanskrit Academy’s main aim is to promote the ancient Sanskrit language. All the activities of the Gurukul Sanskrit academy are carried out free of cost for all the age groups of people. In these modern times of stress and difficult moral values our ancient Sanskrit language plays an important role in inculcating strong value systems in the younger as well as the older generations. Learning the ancient Sanskrit language through these modern methodologies helps greatly in developing lateral thinking, cognitive ability and creative expression of people of all age groups. People who underwent the Sanskrit language courses conducted by the teachers of Gurukul Sanskrit Academy expressed feelings of great self satisfaction, stress relief , calmness , happiness and a greater appreciation and understanding of our ancient Indian culture and moral sensibilities.
