In a tragic incident at a biscuit factory in Ambernath’s MIDC Anand Nagar area, a 3-year-old boy lost his life after being fatally injured by the blade of a biscuit-making machine. The young boy, Ayush Chauhan, was accompanied by his mother, who was delivering lunchboxes to factory workers when the accident occurred. Ayush was their only child.

The incident took place on the morning of September 3 at Radhe Krishna Biscuit Maker Company in Ambernath East. According to police reports, Ayush had bent down to pick up a biscuit that had fallen from the machine’s conveyor belt when his neck was struck by the machine’s blade, causing a severe injury.

Upon witnessing the horrific accident, factory workers immediately shut down the machine and rushed Ayush to a central government hospital in Ulhasnagar. However, despite their efforts, the child was declared dead before any treatment could begin.

Ayush lived with his parents in a chawl in the Thakur Pada area near Anand Nagar MIDC. His mother, Pooja Kumari Chauhan, 22, worked as a tiffin provider, delivering meals to five or six workers in the factory to support her family. On that fateful day, she had brought Ayush with her when tragedy struck.

The Shivajinagar police in Ambernath East have registered the case as a sudden death based on Pooja’s complaint and have launched an investigation into the incident. Senior Police Inspector confirmed that the accident occurred while Ayush was attempting to pick up a biscuit from the still-running conveyor belt.

The death of Ayush has left his parents devastated, and the entire community in mourning.
