A Hotel Management graduate from Dr. D Y Patil Institute of Catering and Hotel Management, Pune, Atharva has always aspired to work in a world-class hotel environment. His dream is now a reality as he undertakes training in various hotel departments at this renowned Marriott hotel chain.

Born with a clipped tongue and faced with early learning challenges, Atharva’s path to success was far from straightforward. Initially struggling with speech difficulties and identified as a slow learner, he faced a series of educational hurdles. Despite these obstacles, he excelled in the commerce stream and pursued a four-year Hotel Management course, graduating with distinction.

Atharva’s story is also one of familial support and personal growth. His parents provided unwavering mentorship and encouragement, while his brother, a computer science graduate and IIT/BITS achiever, served as a constant source of inspiration. Atharva’s extensive travel experiences across countries like the USA, Japan, China, and India further broadened his cultural understanding and professional aspirations.

Atharva meticulously prepared for his US visa interview, demonstrating his commitment and readiness to pursue his dream job in a 5-star hotel upon returning to India. His preparation and perseverance were rewarded when he received approval to train in the USA, with the consular officer encouraging him to “Dream big and your visa will be approved.”
