Brave schoolgirl rescues mother trapped under overturned auto-rickshaw in Karnataka
In a dramatic rescue caught on CCTV, a schoolgirl in Kinnigoli, near Mangalore, displayed remarkable bravery by lifting an overturned auto-rickshaw to save her mother and another passenger.
The accident occurred when 35-year-old Chetana was hit by the auto-rickshaw while crossing the road to pick up her daughter from a tuition center. The driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn and trap Chetana underneath.
Witnessing the accident, the young girl rushed to the scene and heroically lifted the auto-rickshaw, enabling her mother and another passenger to escape. Chetana, who suffered critical injuries, was quickly taken to the hospital. The driver and the other passenger sustained minor injuries.
The footage of the girl’s courageous act has gone viral, earning widespread admiration across the country.
