BJP MLA Mahesh Landge steps in to solve traffic issue at Newale Vasti Chowk
The problem of traffic congestion between Sane Chowk and Newale Vasti Chowk in Chikhli has been resolved thanks to the social commitment of entrepreneur SB Patil and the Malekar family, the temporary compound, and the DP of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited causing hindrance to traffic have been removed, providing relief to the people.
Previously, severe traffic congestion occurred at Newale Vasti Chowk on the road from Sane Chowk to Chikhli. In light of this, local citizens requested BJP MLA Mahesh Landge to intervene and find a solution.
In response, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Mahesh Landge of Bhosari Constituency urged landowners SB Patil and the Malekar family to take proactive steps for public welfare. They positively responded and relocated the barriers at least 10 feet back, which has initiated the road widening process.
Additionally, the MSEDCL DP at Nevale Vasti Chowk was also obstructing traffic. This led to significant congestion during peak hours in the morning and evening, causing undue stress to residents. To address this issue, MLA Mahesh Landge communicated with the MSEDCL administration, leading to the initiation of the removal of the DP.
Speaking about it, Landge said, “We are continuously working to resolve the traffic congestion issues in the Bhosari constituency. We have identified ‘hot spots’ where congestion occurs. With the support of the municipal corporation, Mahavitaran, and traffic police, we are taking steps to reduce traffic congestion. Commuters traveling from Sane Chowk to Nevale Vasti towards Chikhli have faced unnecessary stress. The proactive approach of SB Patil and the Malekar family will greatly reduce the traffic problems.”
