Oikyotan Bangiya Parishad’s Durga Puja, one of Pune’s most anticipated festivals, will be held at Kapse Lawns, Pimple Saudagar, from 8 to 13 October 2024. This year’s celebration emphasizes promoting Bengali art and tradition, with a special focus in engaging the next generation.
Each day, for 3,000-3,500 devotees, authentic Bengali bhog meals and sweets will be freshly prepared by 15+ cooks from Bengal, and served by our younger generation, under the guidance of seniors. With 10,000+ visitors expected daily, this year’s Puja promises to be a grand celebration. Food lovers can enjoy from food stalls of top Bengali restaurants in Pune, with a special focus on Bengali vegetarian cuisines.
Adding to the festive spirit, renowned artists from Kolkata, including Mekhla Dasgupta and Rahul Sinha, will be performing live. The event will also feature several cultural performances by 150+ OBP members, both young ones and adults.
