The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) will open registrations for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2024 today, October 12, at 5 PM. Candidates can apply through the official website, pminternship.mca.gov.in.

This internship program is open to Indian nationals between 21 and 24 years old. Applicants should have completed High School, Higher Secondary School, or hold certificates from ITIs, diplomas from Polytechnic Institutes, or degrees such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, or B.Pharma. The scheme targets those who are not employed full-time and not pursuing full-time education. Students enrolled in distance or online learning programs are eligible to apply. 

The internship lasts for 12 months, with at least half of the time spent gaining hands-on experience in a real working environment.

To apply for the PM Internship Scheme 2024, candidates can follow these steps:

1. Go to the official PM Internship Scheme website at pminternship.mca.gov.in.

2. Click on the registration link, which will take you to a new page.

3. Enter the required registration details and click submit.

4. The portal will generate a resume based on the information you provided.

5. You can apply for up to five internship opportunities based on your preferences, including location, sector, functional role, and qualifications.

6. After completing your selections, click submit and download the confirmation page.

7. It’s a good idea to keep a printed copy for future reference.

More than 90,800 internship opportunities from 193 companies have been posted on the PM Internship Scheme portal. Some of the major companies participating include Jubilant Foodworks, Maruti Suzuki India, Eicher Motors, Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Muthoot Finance, and Reliance Industries. 

The portal opened on October 3, 2024, for companies to submit their internship opportunities. The PM Internship Scheme, a government initiative, aims to provide internships with India’s top 500 enterprises. Its goal is to help young people gain practical experience and develop critical skills in various industries. Over the next five years, the program seeks to offer one crore internships to youth across India.

Applicants must submit essential documents like their Aadhaar card, educational certificates, and a recent passport-size photograph (optional). Self-declarations are accepted for other requirements, and no additional documents are necessary.
