Pune: Young Man Rescued After Falling Into River At Midnight; Fire Brigade's Quick Action Saves Life
Pune – At 12:37 AM last night, the Fire Brigade’s control room received a report of a man who had fallen into the river near the Pune Municipal Corporation building by Shivaji Bridge. Upon receiving the alert, a fire engine from Kasba Fire Station was dispatched.
Upon arriving at the scene, the firemen spotted a man in the river’s flow. Using ropes, life jackets, and life rings, they swiftly rescued the man within five minutes, pulling him safely out of the water. Lifeguard Raju Kachi also assisted in the operation. The rescued individual, Somnath Nishad, 27 years old, originally from Uttar Pradesh, could not provide details on how he fell into the water.
The operation involved driver Santosh Chaure, and firemen Harish Bunde, Raju Jagdale, Dnyaneshwar Gaikwad, Rajendra Mahadik, Atish Naikanaware, and Sunny Lokhande from the Kasba Fire Station.
