In the viral clip from the Garhwa area of Jharkhand, golgappa vendors were shown mixing dough with their feet. They also admitted to using small amounts of Harpic to enhance the flavor.

The video came with a warning for those who frequently enjoy golgappas, urging them to be cautious. Since its appearance on social media, the video has reportedly incited considerable anger among local residents, who expressed their discontent towards the vendors, insisting that consumer health should never be compromised.

A viral video making the rounds on social media depicts men using their bare feet to knead flour for golgappas, with packaged golgappas visible nearby. The situation has intensified as those involved have confessed to incorporating urea fertilizer and the toilet cleaner Harpic into the dough following police questioning.

The individuals caught in this incident are in their 30s. The gravity of the situation is increasing, as the accused have acknowledged adding urea fertilizer and Harpic to the dough after being interrogated by law enforcement.

According to police reports, Yadav, 35, from Jhansi district in Uttar Pradesh, stated that he was involved in a family dispute with his cousins. Following a disagreement, they filmed the video as a form of retaliation. His associate, Srivastava, 30, is from the Jalaun district of UP.

The vendors were required to shut down their shops after their arrest. The parents of those accused have been summoned. Once these procedures are finalized, the necessary legal actions will be initiated, and the shopkeepers will be held accountable for their actions.

A police officer reported that a substance resembling a white alum was found with the accused. Details regarding this white serum are currently limited, as it will be sent for further examination.

This material will be sent to a laboratory for analysis to facilitate the investigation.
