Pune Weather Update: City To Experience Light Rainfall Till Oct 23

Mumbai weather, Maharashtra rain alert, IMD forecast, pre-monsoon showers, thunderstorm warning, temperature drop, yellow alert
Maharashtra’s unseasonal rains show no signs of abating, with steam-induced clouds causing widespread damage to crops. Despite the Southwest Monsoon’s withdrawal, the state continues to experience rainfall due to the active Northeast Monsoon and vapors from the Arabian Sea. The Pune city will experience light rainfall with lightning until October 23 after which there won’t be any rainfall but sky shall remain cloudy.
The temperature increase and steam in the state are contributing factors to the prolonged rainfall. “The temperature rise and steam lead to cloud formation, resulting in rain,” said a weather expert. This situation is expected to persist for a few more days before giving way to dry weather.

The ongoing rains have caused significant damage to crops, resulting in substantial losses for farmers. “We’re worried about our crops,” said a local farmer. “The continuous rain is ruining our harvest.” Farmers are eagerly awaiting relief from the unseasonal rains.
Fortunately, relief is in sight. The weather is predicted to remain dry starting next week, coinciding with Diwali celebrations. This dry spell will bring much-needed respite to farmers and citizens alike.
Cyclone Dana, forming over the East-Central Bay of Bengal by October 23, will affect Odisha and West Bengal but not Maharashtra. Residents of Maharashtra can focus on celebrating Diwali without worrying about rain disruptions.
With dry weather approaching, Maharashtra residents can look forward to a break from the steam-induced rains.
