PCMC Residents And Housing Societies Federation Protest Modification Of Land Reservation
Pune: Hinjawadi Commuters to Benefit from New Bridge Connecting Mamurdi & Sangavade
Pune, 22 OCT 2024 – The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) residents and housing societies federation have expressed strong opposition to the proposed modification of land reservations from Public/Semi Public to Residential. This move, which could potentially lead to the transfer of public land parcels to private builders, has raised significant concerns among the community.
The federation has emphasized that the modification of land reservations is a matter of public interest and directly affects the quality of life for PCMC residents. They have urged the authorities to reconsider this decision and to hold public hearings before proceeding with any changes.
“We believe that public land should be utilized for the benefit of the community, not for private gain,” said Sudhir Deshmukh, Secretary at the PCMC CoOp Housing Societies Federation. “We are committed to protecting the interests of our residents and will take all necessary legal actions if our concerns are not addressed.”
The federation has called on the PCMC administration to engage in open dialogue with residents and stakeholders to discuss the proposed modifications and to find solutions that are in the best interests of the community.
