Pune, November 22: As Maharashtra gears up for the crucial vote counting day for its 2024 Assembly Elections, Pune Collector Suhas Diwase has assured that all preparations are in place for smooth and efficient counting. Speaking to the news agency, Diwase detailed the administrative readiness, including the setup of necessary barricades and deployment of trained personnel at counting centers.

“Necessary barricading has been done, and we are fully prepared in terms of logistics,” Diwase said. “Micro-observers and counting supervisors have been appointed to ensure a transparent process. Postal ballots will be counted first, starting at 8 a.m., with storerooms being opened an hour prior. On average, 400 postal ballots will be counted per table,” he added.

The elections for Maharashtra’s 288 Assembly seats concluded on Wednesday, with counting scheduled for Saturday, November 23.
