Weather Update: Maharashtra To See Gradual Rise In Night Temperatures; Light Rains Expected In Pune From November 28
Pune and other parts of Maharashtra are likely to witness a marginal rise in minimum temperatures from November 23, followed by a spell of light rain later in the month. Dr. Anupam Kashyapi, Former Head of Weather Forecasting at the India Meteorological Department (IMD), provided an update on the changing weather patterns.
“A shift in wind patterns over Maharashtra from November 23 is expected to lead to a gradual rise in night temperatures. Additionally, the formation of a low-pressure area over the South-East Bay of Bengal and its subsequent movement will bring moisture to the region. This could result in partly cloudy skies and light rainfall in South and Central Maharashtra, including Pune, starting November 28 afternoon or evening, for three to four days,” said Dr. Kashyapi.
For Pune, a slight increase in night temperatures and hazy mornings are expected starting November 23. Rainfall, possibly accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely around November 29-30. Residents are advised to remain watchful for potential weather changes.
This forecast highlights a mix of warmer nights and intermittent rain, signaling a departure from the current cool and dry conditions. The IMD advises citizens to prepare accordingly for these transitions.
