Pune: PMRDA Takes Action Against Illegal Hoardings in Hinjawadi
Pune/Pimpri, November 28: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has initiated a removal drive against unauthorized hoardings in Mauje Hinjawadi (Mulshi Taluka). A team from PMRDA dismantled a 40×20 sq. ft. illegal hoarding using a crane, gas cutters, and manpower, and seized the materials during the operation, informed Dr. Dnyaneshwar Bhale, Public Relations Officer, PMRDA.
Officials from PMRDA’s unauthorized construction eradication department were present at the site and urged the public to refrain from erecting illegal structures in the area. The operation was conducted under the guidance of Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase and Superintendent of Police and Vigilance Officer Amol Tambe. The team included Deputy Collector Dr. Deepti Suryavanshi-Patil, Tehsildars Sachin Maske and Rajendra Ranjne, Police Inspector Maheshkumar Saratape, and junior engineers.
PMRDA has confirmed that a comprehensive survey is underway to identify unauthorized hoardings and constructions within its jurisdiction. Strict action, including removal drives, will continue to ensure compliance.
