Pune-Nashik Elevated Corridor: Land Acquisition Delays Discussed In Delhi Meeting
New Delhi: A crucial meeting was held yesterday between Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, and stakeholders to discuss the progress of the Pune-Nashik Elevated Corridor project. During the discussion, Minister Gadkari was apprised that land acquisition for the project remains incomplete, delaying further work.
Shirur MP Dr Amol Kolhe, present at the meeting, expressed concern over the delay and emphasized the importance of the project for Shirur constituency and the entire state of Maharashtra. To expedite the process, Kolhe announced that he would immediately write to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, urging him to prioritize land acquisition for the corridor.
The Pune-Nashik Elevated Corridor is expected to significantly reduce travel time and boost economic connectivity in the region. With mounting pressure for swift action, stakeholders are optimistic that the Chief Minister will ensure rapid progress. Kolhe expressed confidence that the Maharashtra government would act promptly in the public interest to resolve the bottlenecks.
