Pune: MTDC to host ‘Full Everesting’ Challenge at Sinhagad Fort

Pune: The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), in collaboration with the Simple Steps Fitness Institute, is set to host a unique endurance event, the ‘Full Everesting’ challenge, at Sinhagad Fort from December 13 to 15.
Participants will aim to gain an elevation equivalent to Mt. Everest (8,848 meters) by completing 16 continuous ascents of a defined route. The challenge will cover a total distance of approximately 125 kilometers.
The event is scheduled to kick off on December 13 at 6 p.m. During the three-day event, participants will ascend on foot or by running and will be transported back to the start point by road after each lap.
Team Relay Format and Facilities
Ashish Kasodekar, founder of Simple Steps Fitness Institute, explained that the challenge offers a team relay format, requiring each member to complete at least two laps. Registered participants will receive access to restrooms, transportation, a race t-shirt, goodie bag, running bib, finisher medal, hydration and nutrition support, as well as physiotherapy and medical assistance.
The ‘Full Everesting’ challenge is a test of endurance, promising an exhilarating experience at the historic Sinhagad Fort for fitness enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
