A humorous event took place in the cantonment zone of the city. Thieves snatched a mobile phone from a pedestrian but left their motorcycle behind as they made their escape. This incident has become a topic of conversation throughout the city.

Firoz Rashid Sheikh, a 24-year-old resident of Market Yard, has reported an incident to the authorities. Following his complaint, a case has been opened against three thieves at the Lashkar police station. According to the police, Firoz got off at the bus stop in the Lashkar area around  3:30 PM on Sunday, December 15, and was walking along the road.

At that moment, the thieves on a motorcycle confronted him, verbally insulted him, and physically attacked him trying to steal his mobile phone from his pocket. After the theft, they attempted to flee on their motorcycle, but Firoz called out for help.

This led to a crowd of local residents gathering. Fearing they would be attacked, the thieves abandoned their motorcycle and ran away.  The police are currently searching for the thieves using the motorcycle’s license plate number. Incidents of pedestrians being threatened for their mobile phones and cash continue to occur in the city, prompting calls for more police patrols to prevent such crimes.
