Shocking discovery: Woman unwraps parcel to find corpse and ransom note for ₹ 1.3 crore
In the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, a woman was left horrified after receiving a parcel that contained the body of an unidentified individual. This shocking event took place in Yendagandi village, located in the Undi mandal of the district.
The woman, named Naga Tulsi, had approached the Kshatriya Seva Samithi requesting financial assistance for building her house. In response, the Samithi sent her tiles for the construction.
Later, she sought additional help from them, and they had promised to provide electrical appliances. She received a WhatsApp message indicating that items such as lights, fans, and switches would be delivered to her.
On Thursday night, a person dropped off a box at her home, claiming it contained the promised electrical appliances. However, upon opening the parcel, Tulsi was horrified to discover a human body inside.
This shocking discovery caused panic among her family members, who immediately contacted the police, prompting them to rush to the scene.
The body was taken to a government hospital for an autopsy, and the police have registered a case and begun their investigation. The District Superintendent of Police, Adnan Nayeem Asmi, visited the village to look into the matter.
Inside the parcel, a letter was discovered that demanded ₹1.30 crore and warned the family of severe consequences if they did not comply with the demand.
The police are working to identify the person who delivered the parcel and have called in representatives from the Kshatriya Seva Samithi for questioning.
According to the police, the body belongs to a male approximately 45 years old, and they suspect that he may have died around 4-5 days prior.
The body has been sent for an autopsy, and the investigation is ongoing to determine if the individual was murdered. As part of their inquiry, the police are checking missing persons reports from nearby police stations.
