Background: The Pushpa 2 Stampede Controversy
The controversy stems from an incident on December 4 during a special screening of Pushpa 2. What started as an event to surprise fans tragically turned into a stampede-like situation. Revathi, a woman in the crowd, lost her life, and her 8-year-old son, Sri Teja, sustained critical injuries.
On December 21, the issue was brought up in the Telangana Assembly, where Chief Minister Revanth Reddy accused Allu Arjun of negligence in connection to the Sandhya Theatre stampede. Later that day, Allu Arjun held a press conference denying the allegations and addressing the situation.
